Dean H. Barger of Madison went peacefully to be with his Savior while he slept Monday morning at his home. Raised in Greenwood, Dean graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in accounting. There he found many lifelong friends and a love for the Bulldogs. He loved bicycling, motorcycles, and was involved with Mississippi Baptist Symphony Orchestra where he played the trombone. He was employed at Siemens Industry in Richland, Mississippi.
Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Viola Barger. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Denham Barger, and his two daughters and their husbands, Megan and Edward Quimby and Kelsey and Cody Hessling. He also loved being Pop-Pop to James Hessling, McKenzie, Bradie, and Joseph Quimby. Dean is also survived by his brothers, Doug (Pat) Barger, Dale (Diane) Barger, and David (Karen) Barger and numerous nieces and nephews.
A small graveside service will be held at Parkway Memorial Cemetery, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS 39157 on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11:00 am with masks and social distancing observed. Donations can be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison, MS.
