Donald Andrew Perry, 49, passed away on Friday, June 15 in his home in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, Ridgeland MS from 12-2 pm, Monday, June 18, 2018. Service will follow immediately from 2-3pm.
Andy was from Greenwood, MS and had resided with his wife of 29 years, Kaka Perry in Jackson, MS for the past 5 years. Andy resided in the Metro Jackson area and was a member of Holy Trinity in Madison, MS. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and held several health care certificates and worked in the healthcare field in several different capacities throughout most of his career. He was currently employed at Acura of Jackson, MS.
Andy was a devoted and loving husband to his surviving wife Kaka and to his children Morgan Perry Chism and her husband Matthew Chism; and Rob Bellipanni, and his wife Justice. He also was the doting grandfather to Brennan and Stella Kate Chism, and Hayden Mae Bellipanni.
During Andy’s life, he has served as youth pastor, in the music ministries, Sunday school teacher, worship leader, a deacon, and served on several mission trips.
Andy is also survived by his mother Sue Jones; his father Jerry Jones; his brothers Jason Perry and his wife Autumn; William Perry and his daughter Chelsea; Todd Perry and his wife Natalie and their children Ty, Nic, and Bristol; mother-in-law Kathy Mullen; his sister-n-law Missy Abbey, her husband Randy, and their children McKenna Gibson, Collin and Conner Stafford.
Andy’s friends and family were blessed to have Andy in their lives. Words to describe him have consisted of joyful, full of light, giving, kind hearted, hysterically funny and fun to be with…His son-n-law, Matthew described how Andy had a way of taking in others and turning them into family. “Selflessness” was a word that was reiterated by so many who knew him. His son, Rob, described Andy perfectly when he described him as one of the most influential, respected, and loved men in our family. To know Andy was to love him greatly and their memories of him will be a healing place for them all.
Donations may be made in Andy Perry’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Blaire E. Batson Hospital, or Holy Trinity Church of Madison, MS.
