Doris Loraine (Storey) Sanders, 94, of Brandon, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Friday July 5, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
Doris was born on September 23, 1929 in Sweetwater, Texas to Dr. E. Storey and Vera Ponder Storey. She was a loving devoted wife and full-time mother who enjoyed life to the fullest.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 73 years, Raymond Allen Sanders, her parents, Dr. E. and Vera Storey, and her son, Bobby Sanders.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her three children, Ken Sanders (Margaret) of Kingwood Texas, Sandy Shorter (Kevin) of Placitas New Mexico and Debbie Shows (Rusty) of Mendenhall Mississippi; and also nine grandchildren, Connie Boothe (Shane), Missy Medcalf (Johnny), Sherri Haney (Byron), Ray Sanders (Valerie), Kristin Lane (Steven), Casey Shows (Tara), Carly Thompson (Jay), Ben Sanders (Mary), Shontina Sanders (Nathan); seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many other family members and dear friends.
