Words from Dorothy’s loving husband:
Dorothy always had health issues and it was not uncommon for her to have vast numbers of hospital and physician visits.
No matter what those issues were, she was able to climb the mountain of woes and bring herself close to normalcy. Her biggest
hurdle was a mild hemorrhagic stroke she experienced in 2016, which led to eventual diagnoses of kidney and liver disease.
Countless visits to the clinics, jumping through the hoops of transplant tests and approvals, and dealing with the machine
that replaced her kidneys every night were no match for her will. More than anything she wanted the life of a loving wife,
mother and grandmother.
Her joys are painted on her face in the photos on this video collage. Events, holidays. special occasions and even every
day life doings uncovered the importance of being THE MAIN COG of our family, who made the wheel turn She raised three wonderful
children and placed their expectations way before any personal gratifications. She was so proud of all those who lived under her
wings. It was with this purpose she was willing to take on those trials to lengthen her life. The double organ transplant
was that answer for this last episode. It was through this last process that she lost her battle, but really not her fight for life.
Her nurses, physicians, and medical teams were wonderful in every aspect. There was always that degree of expected
professionalism in every visit, especially during her last trial. Huge thanks to those hands that fought with her during her final
operations, but her battle for her life was not to be successful that night. As a minister who visited with me yesterday, he
supported my reasoning and conclusion that it was "God's Will".
Goodbye, my sweet darling. My love and presence will be with you forever.
