RIDGELAND, MS - Edward Slater Hesselbein, born on March 11, 1947 to the late Willie and Lessie Hesselbein in Memphis, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronnie. He graduated from Treadwell High School in Memphis, TN.
He was employed with Hesselbein Tire Company over 40 years. He was an Army Ranger Special Forces in the Vietnam War. He received the Combat Infantryman Badge 1st Award and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Badge. He was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. He was a member of the Mississippi Corvette Club.
Ed could talk to anyone, he never met a stranger. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and always had a sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Diane, of 34 years. He is survived by his son Thomas Hesselbein and nephew Mark Hesselbein. He is survived by mother and father-in-law Paul and Glenda Cox. He is also survived by sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Susan and Glenn Collins, Carolyn and William Pillow, Warren and Sherrie Cox and Miriam Hesselbein.
The visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM with the service beginning at 2:00 PM at Broadmoor Baptist Church, 1531 Highland Colony Pkwy, Madison Mississippi 39110.
