Elinor was a lifelong resident of Madison Co. She was the longest-living member of the Madison United Methodist Church at 93 years. She attended Belhaven and Millsaps colleges and worked in the medical profession as well as serving as a nanny for three loving families after retirement. In later years, she enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles “to keep my mind sharp”, and was a devoted fan of her Atlanta Braves politely excusing any visitors in her room at game time to give the Braves her undivided attention. She was a pillar of strength, the definition of selflessness, and was a light and inspiration to all who knew her.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Bronson, Brett Blyholder, Larkin Turner, Nicholas Turner, Taylor Job, and Parker Job.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Parkway Funeral Home Saturday July 24th. Visitation will be 9-11a.m. with service to follow. In order to protect our loved ones we ask that guests be fully vaccinated.
“I shall pass through this world but once. If, therefore, there is any kindness I can show, any good that I can do, let me do it now, let me not defer it or delay it for I shall not pass this way again”.
