
Elisa Hagan, 94, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2016. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 4 until 6 pm at Parkway Funeral Home, Ridgeland, MS. Graveside Family services will be held Friday, January 22, 2016 at Terry Cemetery, Terry, MS.
Elisa was born on April 20, 1921 to the late, Ernest J. Merino and Edna Barker Merino in New Orleans, LA. She graduated from John McDonough High School in New Orleans. LA in the class of 1939 and went on to Spencer Business College graduating in 1941. She enjoyed all manner of hand work. She was a member of Summit United Methodist Church. She was a career Bookkeeper, retiring from Whatley Auto Supply in Jackson, MS at age 74.
Elisa was preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence D. Minor, in1964, and Malcolm Charles Hagan, in1995.
Survivors include sons, L.D. (Andrea) Minor, Ridgeland, MS and Travis (Laminda) Minor, Brandon, MS; daughter, Elisa (Thomas) McCurley, Madison, MS, step sons, John Hagan, Birmingham, AL and Tommy (Rosa) Hagan, Pelham, Alabama and step daughter, Betty (Ronnie) Wooley, Liberty, MS. She has 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the The Salvation Army or the Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.
