Elizabeth “Betsy” Ann Grantham died June 23, 2021, in Jackson, Mississippi. Born on September 20, 1943, in Louisiana, she was the first daughter of the late J.T. Grantham and Ruby Landfair Grantham. She grew up in Jackson and graduated from Provine High School and Belhaven College.
She served as a teacher in both Jackson Public Schools and Rankin County Schools. She was awarded “Teacher of the Year” in Rankin County Schools.
Betsy loved her Lord Jesus Christ and her church family at Riverwood Bible Church.
In addition to her parents, Betsy is preceded in death by her sister Nancy Horz and brother Tom Grantham. She is survived by her sister-in-law Teena Grantham Jepsen and brother-in-law Ray Horz. She is also survived by niece Bethany Powers (Jason) and by nephews David Grantham (Mary Katherine) and Andrew Horz.
The family would like to thank Gloria Stone for her and help over the years. In addition, the family wishes to thank all the staff at Compere’s Nursing Home for their constant care of Betsy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverwood Bible Church.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 10:00 am at Riverwood Bible Church in Jackson.
