Elizabeth Tip Stuart Jacob

Elizabeth Tip Stuart Jacob, 93, died on October 4, 2016.She was born in Morton, MS on February 17, 1923 to Newton Tip Stuart and Minnye Ott Stuart. She was married to Marvin Jacob for 63 years until his death in 2004.

Tip, as she was known to everyone (and Mother Tip by her grandchildren) attended Milsaps, where she was selected as a Beauty, and was awarded many other honors. She was a member of Phi Mu sorority. She also attended Ole Miss majoring in music. She and Marvin married and lived in Morton where their seven children were born. She was an integral part of Marvin’s Professional Photography business. They took pictures of high school seniors and many weddings all over central Mississippi. They later moved to Forest. She loved Scott County and the wonderful people there where she had grown up and reared her family. She was actively involved in church, teaching young people and in many civic clubs and charities. Her greatest joys were her faith in God, her family, and her dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, and sons, Stuart Jacob and Lee Jacob. She is survived by her children Tip Jacob (Jean), Greg Jacob (Regina), Fred Jacob (Nancy ) of Jackson, Mynette Jacob Gibson(Harry) of Meridian, and Lisa Jacob Russell John) of Nashville, and 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland, MS at 11:00 AM Saturday October 8. Visitation will be at Parkway from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Graveside services will be at the City of Morton Cemetery at 1:30 PM. Pallbearers are: Will Jacob, Ben Jacob, Jason Hayles, Preston Lee, Todd King, Andy Brooks, Matt Brooks, Scot Gibson, Ben Sykes, and Hamp Jones.
