

TN to Louis Wayne Harmon and Cordie VanWinkle Harmon.
She graduated from University High School and attended the
University of Mississippi in her home town of Oxford.
Ernestine married Albert Treloar Jones of Taylor, MS. They lived
in Jackson where they were long time members of Broadmoor
Baptist Church and she was a stay at home mother. She was
involved in activities of her church, community and children's
schools and enjoyed athletic events.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, parents
and her brother Wayne Harmon (Elnora) and is survived by a beloved
daughter, Janis Carol Jones Posey (David) of Birmingham, AL,
beloved son, Albert Treloar "Chip" Jones, Jr. (Anne) of Columbia,
SC. As well as four grandchildren, Anne Robert Jones Sommers
(Steven) of Denham Springs, LA, Andrew Treloar Jones of
Charlottesville, VA, Mary Frances Jones Atwood (Zachary) of
Ellisville, MS, Stephen Lawrence Jones of Tuscaloosa, AL and two
great grandchildren Colby Michael Sommers and Carter Lawrence
Sommers all of whom she dearly loved and by whom she will be
greatly missed. Her nieces, nephews, and cousin's also mourn her loss.
Interment will be Sunday Jan. 10,2016 at Parkway Memorial in
Ridgeland, MS with visitation at 2:00pm and a service in the
mausoleum at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made
to Ben Lippen School 7401 Monticello Road, Columbia,
SC 29203 or to Orwood Cemetery Association 258County Road 354,
Oxford, MS 38655.
