He married Judy Swetland Arnold from Grenada, MS in 1961. He graduated from Murrah High School in 1957 and then entered Mississippi State University. He was elected a Deacon and continued to be active in the Berean Sunday School Class. He was a regular visitor to sick friends and relatives as well as faithfully attending funerals while being on the Funeral Committee. Bubba and Judy would have been married 57 years this September. They enjoyed traveling, especially to Israel, and have been faithful members of the Explorer's Bible Study for 20 years. Bubba enjoyed his favorite activities through his memberships at the Jackson Country Club, Lake Caroline Golf Club and East of Eden hunting camp. Also, he was active in the Jackson Academy Booster Club, as well as a commissioner and umpire of Little League baseball, loving every minute of it. He entertained many loyal friends with his sense of humor and one-liners. Judy, I am so sorry that I am unable to be with you today but know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family as you say goodbye to Bubba. We certainly go back a long way to the days at State and the W. We will always remember Bubba and the days that he umpired in the Little League. John and the other coaches were so grateful for his contribution. Know that we love you.

Judy & family,
We will continue to pray for comfort, peace & healing at this difficult time. There was never a time with Bubba that I did not leave with a smile on my face. That was just who he was from the first time I met him as a very young girl. Always making a joke. Making people laugh. I know Ashleigh greeted him with one BIG BEAR hug!! ❤️ I’m so grateful we all got to spend some time together at Sydney’s wedding. We love y’all.

Kim & David Gonzales.
