Bill became one of my best friends. He was a member of the 90th Infantry Division/358th Regiment/Co.F in WWII. On July 23, 1944 he and over 250 men were captured by the Germans at the battle of Seves Island near Periers, France. My father escaped capture that day and after meeting at a reunion, that's how our bond was formed over the past ten years.

We spent many hours together at the 90th Reunions and also a couple of days in 2008 in Madison with Bill.
He was a kind, generous individual and I will remember him always.
