George R. Parada, 55, of Brandon, Mississippi passed away from complications of Colon Cancer on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024.
He was born in Edison, New Jersey on the 9th day of November in 1968 to Georgina and Aurelio Parada, who were remembered as loving parents who illustrated a successful marriage. He cherished his siblings, for they helped mold him into the person he grew up to be (quite literally). George was an adventurous child, though sometimes to a fault, e.g., when he was 9 and jumped off the roof of his house with a makeshift parachute and broke both of his legs.
George met the love of his life, Crystal, in 2014 while watching a game at Oscar’s Cigar Lounge in Atlanta, GA. George walked up to Crystal and said, “me and you would never work.” She responded with confusion as she had never met him before. He said, “the only thing we have in common is we both hate the Cowboys,” and then they went their separate ways. That was the start of their loving journey together. The two married on November 19th, 2015, and enjoyed eight years of beautiful, adventurous marriage together. Their marriage did not end on that fateful Tuesday, and their love will continue to flourish for as long as they remain in each other’s hearts.
Early in life, George brought into the world three beautiful daughters, Ashley, Kaitlyn and Jessica. George adored all of his daughters and lived to see them succeed. He had a unique connection with Kaitlyn, and if you knew George, you probably knew the story of Kaitlyn’s first day on this earth. George and Kaitlyn shared a deep love for helping others and advocating for human rights. George was the biggest supporter of Kaitlyn’s activism and never let her forget how important her work was. Jessica meant the world to George. She was his original travel partner and they made countless memories exploring places they had never been and doing things they had never done. Hockey games were something special for the two, and the time they spent in hockey arenas was full of pure joy and love.
George was lucky enough to gain two more beautiful daughters when he married the love of his life in 2015. Brianna and Nevaeh became a big part of his world, as all of his daughters had. Nevaeh will never forget those special trips they would take to Dairy Queen whenever Crystal was away. That time together meant a lot to Nevaeh, and she will always remember him as someone who could never turn down ice cream. George did everything he could to provide Nevaeh and Brianna with the beautiful lives they deserved. He was the definition of a “girl dad,” and Nevaeh is an excellent representation of his perfected craft.
George had a soft spot in his heart for his furry friends, treating each and every one like the valuable family members they were. Rebel was the first pup to steal his heart. When the loss of Rebel was too much to bare, the addition of Sunshine brought some light back into their lives and made mourning just a little bit easier. Sunshine will miss snuggling with George and charming him for treats. George’s grand-dog Benji had a very special place in his heart, and the same went for Benji. Benji will miss George deeply.
Everyone who knew George knew that he loved helping others. If you wish, George would love his friends and family to donate to his favorite charity, Stewpot (stewpot.org), in his honor, in lieu of any flowers or gifts.
George will always be remembered for his kindness and selflessness and for the way he would lift up others around him. He was an amazing husband, father, son and brother and will be missed dearly every day. George is survived by his wife Crystal and his five daughters. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who love him.
Funeral services will be held at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS on Saturday, January 27, 2024, with visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and the funeral at 11:00 am.
