

Glenn Iwalna "Doodle" Ivey went home to be with the Lord on May 10, 2026 at The Rose Garden Memory Center at The Orchard in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Doodle was born on October 20, 1928 in Lauderdale County. She grew up in the Meridian area but lived most of her life in Jackson. A devoted Christian, Doodle was always active in church. During her lifetime, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and later of Broadmoor Baptist Church and Grace Bible Church. At the time of her death, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Madison. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Doodle was preceded in death by her parents, Marks and Pearlie Walker, her husband, Brigadier General (Retired) Clinton L. Ivey, and her infant son David Andrew Ivey. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Walker, and two sisters, Helen Walker Hilsinger and Hazel Walker Patton.
Doodle is survived by her two sons, Clint (Pati) Ivey and Todd (Monica) Ivey and her grandchildren Bailey (and wife Bailee) Ivey, Carter (Erin) Ivey, Patrick Ivey, Nate Ivey, Erin (Thomas) McCalla, and five great grandchildren: Mary and Beau Ivey, Brooks and Campbell Ivey, and Rosie McCalla.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at The Rose Garden, with special thanks to nurses Lula, Sarah, and Sylvia. The family also wants to express a special work of appreciation to hospice nurse Callie and the staff of Compassus Hospice Care, for the loving care they gave Doodle.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, Mississippi.
