Helen Parker Davis died in Ridgeland, MS on June 1, 2013. She was a native of Meridian, MS and graduated from Meridian High School in 1943 and from Mississippi State College for Women in 1947. She was a school teacher and substitute teacher. For many years she was a sessions worker at the Mississippi State Senate.
She enjoyed playing bridge and doing volunteer work. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson, MS and belonged to the Reflections choir. She was a long time member of Le Dejuener luncheon club.
She is survived by her three children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her children are Ruby Davis Lauderdale of Brandon, Peggy Davis Ely (Mike) of Oxford, and Dr. Tommy Davis, Jr. (Amy) of Tuscaloosa, AL.
