Helen P. “Jiggs” McDuff would have been 101 on September 3, and she was greeted in Heaven by family on August 17, 2017. Helen was born in Dunn, LA to Fred Adolphus and Ora Augusta Atwood Pott. She attended high school in Winnsboro, LA and Business School in Port Arthur, Tx.
Helen married Andrew Leslie McDuff and they had one child, Diane DeLane Hawkins. Helen was a home demonstration agent with the LA Power and Light in her early career and later as a bookkeeper for Fashions, Inc. She is survived by her daughter Diane, grandson, Chuck Hawkins (Jennifer) of Lexington, KY, and granddaughter Leslie Lingerfelt (Scott) of Apison, TN and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12-1 on Saturday at Parkway Funeral Home followed by a graveside service. Memorial Donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, Music Arts.
