OBITUARY

Jacqueline Dempsey Triplett

September 28, 1933December 3, 2018

Jackie Triplett died at home on December 3rd, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5th at 12:00 p.m. with funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS.

Mrs. Triplett was born in Parsons, West Virginia, then spent her childhood in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She is the only child of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chester (C.E.) Earl Dempsey. Jackie graduated from Dyersburg High in 1951. She then attended Murray State College in Murray, Kentucky, where she was a cheerleader. Jackie worked at the Arsenal in Milan, TN before becoming the administrative secretary to the Administrator at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis where she met her husband, Faser. The two were married 48 years before Faser's death in 2010.

Jackie was a loving mother, not only to her 5 children, but also to their many friends. She was a passionate, accepting mother who devoted her life to her children. Mama never wanted to be the center of attention, instead she was content to support her husband and family behind the scenes, never asking to receive credit for the tireless, selfless hours she devoted to them. Her non-judgmental demeanor, and her ability to find humor in any situation contributed to the revolving door of teenagers who dropped in just to hang out with her around her kitchen counter. And if they brought their dog, even better! Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and they all adored their Jac Jac.

She was preceded in death by her twin infant grandsons, William Faser and Thomas Clayton. She is survived by her son, Chip Triplett (Susan) of Ridgeland; daughters, Diane Holloway (J.L.) of Ridgeland, Suzy Fuller (Jim) of Greenwood, SC, Liz Walker (Chip) of Jackson, and Lou Ann Woidtke (Trent) of Madison; and grandchildren Jay, Lindsey, Kelsey and Caroline Fuller; Elizabeth, Mary Faser and Felton Walker; Parker, Gage and Reece Woidtke; as well as Wes McCubbins, Wendy Martin, Tiffany Shields, and Greg Holloway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Campaign for Children's of Mississippi to honor Jackie's love for all children. Children's of Mississippi, Office of Development Accounting, 2500 North State Street Jackson, MS 39216 or online at www.growchildrens.org.

There aren’t enough words in the dictionary to express how Aunt Jackie affected my life. She has taught me so much about love of family and strength in the face of adversity. It’s true, I never heard her complain about much of anything. She was one of a kind and I will miss her dearly. I was able to get some “strength” from her on our last visit and I thank her for that, once again, always giving to others......rest in peace my sweet Aunt Jackie.❤️💔❤️
