Jimmy was born in Jackson, MS on February 24, 1939 to Margaret and Osborn Ishee. He attended Murrah High School and Mississippi State University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree. He grew up attending Jackson First Baptist Church.
He worked as a school teacher, piping specialist, and superintendent. Jimmy was a fan of playing golf and was an avid MSU fan.
Jimmy is survived by his sister, Margaret Jean Madden; niece, Margie (Steve) Gibson; nephews, Randy (Farah) Campbell, Richard (Karen) Campbell, and Scott (Robyn) Campbell; nine great nieces and nephews and their spouses; nineteen great great nieces and nephews and one spouse; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Osborn and Margaret Ishee.
Memorial services will be held at Deerfield Clubhouse, 264 Deerfield Club Dr, Canton, MS on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 11:00 am. Lunch will be served following the memorial service.
