Jimmy graduated from Provine High School in 1966 and furthered his education at Mississippi College. After graduating from MC, he would spend the next 2 years in the Army stationed at Arlington, VA. He then returned to Jackson and taught school for over 25 years at Hardy Middle School. Jimmy had several passions - teaching school, love of country, gardening, and lending a helping hand to others in need.
Jimmy is survived by his brother, Danny (Y.Y.) of Brandon, MS. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the MIND Center at UMMC.
