Jane was born in Stow, Ohio on July 30,1931 to Dessie and Herman Harper. She attended Southside High School in Memphis, TN and married her high school sweetheart, Arthur Hugh Sisson, on January 3, 1951. They had four children; Arthur Hugh Sisson, Jr., James Thomas Sisson, Peggy Lee Sisson (Hartt) and Tracey Lynn Sisson (McCraw). She devoted her life to her family and enjoyed gardening in her spare time. Jane was also a proud member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Madison Methodist Church.
Jane is survived by Arthur H. Sisson, Jr., Peggy S. Hartt, Tracey S. McCraw, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren (with more on the way). She was predeceased by Arthur Hugh Sisson (husband), James Thomas Sisson (son), Helen Harper Barnett (sister), Dixie Harper Gipson (sister) and Shirley Harper Matko (sister). Her husband, Hugh, her sisters (“the Harper Girls”) and her family were the absolute loves of her life!
Funeral services will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on December 9 with visitation 9:00-10:00 a.m. and a brief memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Following the Parkway service, the family will accompany Jane to Memorial Park South Woods in Memphis TN for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment to join Hugh, Helen, Dixie and Shirley in the glory of God.
