

Jeremy was born in Jackson, Mississippi on August 21, 1984 to Lee Ann and Thomas Roberts. He attended the University of Mississippi, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English and hospitality management, as well as a doctorate in higher education. He began working at the University of Mississippi as an instructor and learning specialist before becoming an assistant director and coordinator of the annual Academic Probation Symposium. He was named instructor of the year in the Spring of 2017. At the time of his passing, he held the position of Associate Director of the Center for Student Success and First Year Experience and had been employed by the university having held various positions since 2002. Both his work and his students meant everything to him.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Lee Ann and Thomas Roberts; sister, Jennifer Taylor (Eddie); nephews, Robby Daugherty, Clay Taylor, and Gage Taylor; uncles, Bob Bane (Patsy) and Don Burks; and cousins, William Burks, Randle Shepherd, and Laurel Bane. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Fredrick Roberts and Dr. & Mrs. John Roy Bane, and aunt, Patricia Burks.
A visitation will be held Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 2 to 4 o’clock at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi. A funeral service will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on Monday, November 10, 2025 with visitation beginning one hour prior to service.
Donations may be made in Jeremy’s name to the University of Mississippi.
