

Jo Anne was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Donald M. Shively. She was also preceded in death by her half brother Harry Shivel, Jr. She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Lynn (David) White of Madison, MS; Kim (Gene) Gardner of Madison, MS; Robin (Richard) Eaton of Ridgeland, MS and; 4 grandsons, Ryan (Amanda)Eaton, Alan (Lily) Eaton, Grant (Ashleigh) Gardner, Brad Gardner; 3 granddaughters, Amanda (Tripp) Douglas, Reagan (Jason) Peets, and Tracey Gardner; and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am Saturday, November 14, 2015, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Burial Park in Huntington, West Virginia.
Jo Anne was born in Grayson, Kentucky on June 7, 1926, the daughter of Harry and Ercelle Shivel. Jo Anne graduated from Marshall University. She also graduated from Bible School at Victory Bible Training Center at New Life Church in Huntington, WV. Jo Anne was a long time resident of Huntington, West Virginia. She moved to Jackson to be close to her family eight years ago.
Jo Anne was a long time member of Victory Church in Madison, Ms. She most recently attended Word of Life Church in Flowood, Ms.
Since moving to Jackson, she was known to most people as MeMaw. Jo Anne is best remembered in Huntington for the many Bible studies she taught and the many people she led to the Lord.
