I love your dad!  I do not know he passed away and have a great taking so long. I’m sorry I am for y’all‘s loss. Also I just recently learned Beano had died. That’s also so something I did not expect. I regret the loss to his family.

My deepest condolences. I was blessed to have Mr Harvey as a client and to be his barber for seven years. He was always a welcome presence in our business and will be missed. 



We offer our sincere sympathy and prayers to your family.  We have just learned of John's death and we are so sorry.  We know you will miss a Dad and Grandfather with such a larger than life personality and big heart.  We will miss him as well!

John was one of my closest and dearest friends. We met through a business venture that we were both involved in.  Other than that we would have seemed to be the most unlikeliest of friends or acquaintances. We were from seemingly different worlds. But John was the most genuine and down to earth man I have ever known. We became the closest of friends. I love him and will miss him. Rest in peace my dear friend!

The Final Salute
	
“Brothers and Sisters-in-Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to John Lyman Harvey our “Brother-in-Arms”.   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for John.   To John it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Vietnam War while serving in the U.S. Army.  John, we commend you for your honorable military service and for your successful service as a business leader serving the ArkLaTex community .  You are a true patriot, who served your nation and your community with honor and distinction. You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country.  You were a true friend. We bid you a sad farewell.  You will be dearly missed from among our ranks.  GOD Bless you. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.

I worked for Mr. Harvry for 23 years. I loved his family and I loved working for him.  He was a great man and will be missed.

Mr. Harvey was such a bright, hard-working productive man who knew so many people and influenced their lives in positive ways. He lived life fully and loved his family. The world needs more folks like him!
