Joseph Nathan Cole, 75, of Canton, Mississippi passed away at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

Nathan was born in Benton, Mississippi on February 10, 1943 to Walter and Sophia Cole. He graduated from Benton High School. Nathan was a Vice-President for Mississippi Valley Title Insurance Company where he worked for forty-four years.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years Shirley S. Cole; children, Kevin (Rose Anne) Cole of Flora, and Lisa (Judson) Wallace of Mendenhall; grandchildren Shelby Cole, Michael Cole, Kristan Cole and Kalyn Woods; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Darrell Wayne Cole; father, Walter Nathan Cole; mother, Sophia Elizabeth Rusche Cole and three sisters.

Visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS on Thursday, May 24, 2018 between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Senior Citizens of First Baptist Church, Canton, Mississippi.
