Judy Boswell Hollingsworth was born on April 30, 1949, and passed away on November 30, 2024, at the age of 75. Judy grew up in Union, Mississippi, and was a long-time resident of Madison, Mississippi.
Judy truly lived her life with the understanding that she was more blessed to give than receive. Judy lived life to the fullest and loved nothing more than the precious moments spent with her family and friends, especially her children Bryan Hollingsworth and Jennifer Hollingsworth Mitchell, along with her grandchildren, Mary Katlyn Russell, Presley Love Russell, Alli Claire Hollingsworth, Tanner Stayton Mitchell, Lilly Kate Hollingworth, and Molly Austin Hollingworth, and great-grandchildren, Kayley Love England and Mayzee Faith England. Whether during holiday gatherings or just crowding around the living room to watch a football game, Judy’s love of life and warm heart would fill any room and bring joy to anyone blessed enough to be there with her. Judy was also somewhat of a foodie; Judy loved many different foods, but her favorite was (overcooked) steak and salting food that was otherwise perfectly seasoned, depending on who you asked.
Judy attended Union High School and received an associate degree from East Central Community College. After graduating from East Central Community College, Judy went on to serve her country and joined the United States Air Force. After an honorable discharge from the USAF, Judy went on to work for the Scott County, Mississippi Board of Supervisors, Merchants and Farmers Bank, and then ultimately her true passion of working for Lancôme. For the better part of three decades, Judy loved nothing more than going to work to see her clients who, if you asked Judy, were more like her family. She cherished those moments and made lifelong friends while working at Lancôme. Judy loved her work because she was helping other people feel good about themselves and seeing them happy made her over the moon happy.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, William Terry Boswell and Mary Gladys Boswell, and siblings Nancy Boswell, Betty Jean Bailey, Kenneth Boswell, and Buddy Boswell. Judy is survived by siblings, Susan Dow and Eva Grace Sciple; her children Bryan Hollingsworth and Jennifer Hollingsworth Mitchell, grandchildren Mary Katlyn Russell, Presley Love Russell, Alli Claire Hollingsworth, Tanner Stayton Mitchell, Lilly Kate Hollingworth, and Molly Austin Hollingworth, and great-grandchildren, Kayley Love England and Mayzee Faith England, her cat, Honey, her beloved nieces and nephews, and more lifelong friends than could ever fit in these few paragraphs.
Although not here physically, Judy will live forever in all of our hearts.
A visitation for Judy will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Home & Parkway Memorial Cemetery, 1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, Mississippi 39157, followed by a celebration of life service at 12:00 PM.
