Born on May 13, 1947, in Calhoun City, MS, Judy lived a full and meaningful life. She was known for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering dedication to her church home, Madison Methodist. Throughout her life, she touched many with her generosity, wisdom, and genuine care for others. Judy never missed a birthday or special occasion and was known for her heartfelt, handwritten cards.
A devoted member of Madison Methodist Church, Judy was an active part of the New Spirit Sunday School class, which she loved dearly and attended faithfully every week—rarely ever missing a Sunday. She also served as a greeter for many years, and her warm smile was often the first one people saw when they walked through the church doors. Her presence was a constant source of welcome and encouragement to both longtime members and newcomers alike.
She is survived by her two sisters, Mitzi (Sammy) Aldridge and Laura (Karl) McKinley; her nieces and nephews, Andy Aldridge, Maren (Brad) Hutto, Bryan McKinley, and Taylor (Sterling) Aldridge; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, McKinley and Mary Marshall Hutto, and Anders and John Alden Aldridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Cyrel and Edna Josephine Honeycutt.
During her 34-year career in the Jackson Public School District, Judy taught both junior high and high school, leaving a lasting impact on countless students. She found great joy in reading, traveling, volunteering at her church, and spending time with her family and friends—especially her beloved Tuesday “Porch Pals” group.
