After a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, Julianne Haag “Judy” Noblin, 83, passed away on July 26, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and woman of faith.
Judy was born in 1942 in Meridian, MS to Eloise and Wilsford Haag. When she was 10 years old, she met her future husband, Buddy Noblin, when her family moved next door to him. Soon afterward, Judy and Buddy served as the sixth-grade King and Queen at Meridian Elementary School, and they were almost inseparable from that day forward, sharing a lifetime of love and friendship.
Judy graduated from Meridian High School, where she was Key Club Sweetheart and a member of the Dusty Social Club. She earned an Education degree from the Mississippi State College for Women, where she was pledge class President of Lockheart Social Club and was named Pi Kappa Alpha Dream Girl at Mississippi State University, Buddy’s alma mater.
After college graduation, they married and soon made their home in Jackson, MS, where they raised their daughter, Julie, born in 1967. Judy earned a Master's Degree in Education and taught elementary school within the Jackson Public Schools System for decades prior to retiring.
Faith was a cornerstone of Judy’s life, and she was active at Christ United Methodist Church (now Christ United) as well as the Mississippi Methodist Cursillo community where she was both a participant and a Cha-Cha. She loved listening to good music, dancing, traveling and worshiping with Buddy, as well as spending time with friends, whether sharing a meal, shopping, playing bridge, taking weekend girls’ trips or working toward a common cause. She also loved taking summer beach trips with her family, laughing over games of UNO with her grandchildren and cuddling with her various Siamese cats throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Billy Haag. She is survived by her husband, her daughter and son-in-law, Jonathan Johnson, her grandchildren, Sydney, Jonathan Yale and Haag Johnson, as well as many loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Christ United Church in Jackson, MS followed by a funeral service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. A brief graveside service will commence once the procession reaches Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS.
