

She married Robert Kenneth McDonald, the love of her life, in 1950. They made their home in Greenville, Mississippi, for 47 years before moving to Ridgeland, Mississippi, in 2008.
A devout Christian, her faith was always exemplified by her kindness and generosity to others. She served as an elder at First Presbyterian Church in Greenville. After moving to Ridgeland, she joined the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
She was very civic minded, serving as a Bible leader in Community Bible Study, a lifetime member of Greenville Junior Auxiliary, and volunteering at hospitals. She enjoyed playing bridge for many years in Greenville and continued playing once she had moved to Ridgeland.
June is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Hough (Milford), Diana Montgomery (Haskins), Denise Wilson (David); her 7 grandchildren Kris Hough, David Wilson (Brittany), Heather Hunt (Chuck), Katherine Newsom (Sam), Christina Polk (Taylor), Salli Hobson (Jay), Anna Haskins Patton (Harry) and 10 great grandchildren Hadley, Sarah, and Milly Haskins Hunt, Banks and Leigh Wilson Polk, Clark and Mallory Hobson, Anna Basile and Hunter Newsom and Harry Patton.
A visitation for June will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church Jackson, 1390 N State St, Jackson, Mississippi 39202, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.
