Kam Tai Lau, 90, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Desoto Health Care Center in Southaven. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Saturday in the chapel of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland with burial following in Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and will resume at 11:00 AM Saturday, all at the funeral home.
Kam Tai Lau, a devoted Buddhist, was born on May 12, 1922 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Shu Mun Lau in Shanghai, China. In 1959, she moved to Hong Kong to join her late husband, Siu Chun Luk, and remained there until 1983, when they moved to the United States. She enjoyed cooking, playing mahjong and solitaire, and walking around her neighborhood.
Survivors include son, Kin Hap Luk and his wife Man Kok of Hong Kong; son, Vincent Luk and his wife Joyce of Albuquerque, NM; son, Benjamin Luk and his wife Cindy of Jackson; and grandchildren, Pamela, Dorothy, Kenneth, Emily, Benson, and Adria Luk.
