Kevin Clay "KC" Adams Jr.

KC was preceded in death by his father, Kevin Clay Adams, Sr.; his grandfather, Bill Adams; his grandfather and best friend, Don Dickinson, known as Gran; and his grandmother, Charlotte Dickinson, known as Nana.

He is survived by his wife, McKensey; his children, Brixxton, Brody, and Bella; his brother, Chance Adams; his mother, Debbie Adams; his grandmother, Glenda Adams; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

KC spent most of his life in Madison County and attended Canton Academy. As his brother Chance once said, “KC never had the best grades, but he wasn’t cutting class. He was cutting the school’s grass.” That story captured KC perfectly.

From the time he was a little boy, KC loved being outdoors and working with his hands. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and exploring on his 4-wheeler. His Gran taught him to build birdhouses when he was only three years old and later taught him how to operate a lawn mower. Those early lessons stayed with him and became part of the man he was.

KC had a natural ability to watch someone do something once and figure out how to do it himself. There wasn’t much he couldn’t build, repair, or fix. As he got older, KC poured that same energy into his work. He built his own landscaping business and took great pride in what he did. Providing for his family was important to him, and he dedicated himself to working hard for the people he loved.

KC was hardworking, capable, and always willing to lend a hand to someone who needed it. He shared a special bond with his Gran and admired him more than anyone. The lessons Gran taught him and the time they spent together helped shape the man KC became.

More than anything, KC loved his family. He was a loving husband, a proud father, a devoted son, and a loyal brother. He cared deeply for the people in his life and always wanted the very best for them.

KC will be remembered for his quick wit, his sense of humor, his endless energy, and his generous heart. He was loving, kind, funny, and determined. He had a way of making people laugh and a willingness to help whenever he could.

To Brixxton, Brody, and Bella: We hope that one day you will know how much KC loved you. We hope you will hear the stories, remember the laughter, and come to know the man so many people loved. He worked hard, loved deeply, and wanted the very best for all of you.

KC admired his grandparents more than anyone, and it brings us comfort to know that he will be laid to rest near them where he can spend eternity at their side.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
