

born April 12,1924, in Greenville, MS.
She met the love of her life Charles Martin Ratliff during World War II and enjoyed 65 years of marriage.
During his time in the Air Force they lived in Canada, Japan, Colorado Springs, West Virginia and Florida.
When they returned to Mississippi she worked with Governor John Bell Williams and later worked with
State Treasurer Marshall Bennett for 16 years.
In her later years her greatest Joywas her weeklyvisit with her twin great granddaughters. The last four
years of her life were spent at the Blake Township under the care of their loving staff. He rdaughter
would like to especiallythank Dr. DanWoodliffand R. Bryan Barksdale for their compassionate care of
her mother. Louisewas preceded in death by her husband Charles M. "Jack" Ratliff and her daughter Mary Davis
Ratliff. She Is survived by her daughter LanitaVernon-Campbell (Mike), grandson Leigh Davis Vernon
(Leah) and great granddaughters Anna Davis Vernon and Julia Catherine Vernon.
The family will receive visitors from 10-11 am Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the First Presbyterian
Church of Jackson. Services will be 11:00 am in the chapel. Memorials may be made to First
Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
