Leslie was a 1989 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School and later earned her degree from the University of Mississippi. She dedicated her career to social work, focusing on child welfare and serving families with compassion and dedication. On September 21, 1996, she married her husband, Michael Jacobs, and together they built a life full of love and laughter.
She was the “fun aunt” to her beloved nieces and nephews, sharing many special memories with them. Leslie had a gift for making everyone feel welcome—she never met a stranger. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and her ability to truly listen. Always quick to offer a word of encouragement, she brought comfort and hope to countless lives. She had a passion for Ole Miss football and a love of Rod Stewart’s music, and she brought joy and energy to every gathering.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Jacobs of Madison; her brother, Zach Thompson and his wife Crystal; her brothers-in-law Chris Jacobs (Wendy) and Robert Jacobs (Anelyse); her sister-in-law Phyllis Van Dalsen (Rob); and her cherished nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
