Linda Sue Morganti

Linda Sue Morganti, of Canton, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on April 2, 1950, in West Helena, Arkansas, Linda lived a life full of love, compassion, and devotion to her family and others.

A 1968 graduate of Central High School in Helena, Arkansas, Linda went on to build a meaningful career in healthcare, working in patient accounts at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. She was known not only for her strong work ethic but also for her kind and caring nature, which she extended to everyone she met.

Linda’s greatest joy in life came from her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was deeply involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, her truest passion. In addition to her own family, Linda extended her love to many others through her work as a nanny, caring for children with the same devotion and warmth she gave to her own.

Linda had a burning fire for life. She brought a smile to all those that knew her and was a true optimist. She was a breath of fresh air and used every breath to ask a million questions.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Lee and Mildred Louise Lee.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Morganti; her daughters, Stephanie Webb, Mindy Allen (Richie), Melanie Easterling (Scott), and Stephanie Zimmerman (Jason); grandchildren, Joseph Easterling, Landon Zimmerman, Tripp Allen, Kylee Minfield (Tavian Johnson), Mary K. Easterling, and Addison Zimmerman; and great-grandchild, Raiden Johnson. She is also survived by her brother, Robert W. Lee (Ann); sister-in-law, Diane Herndon; and several beloved nieces.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Mississippi Baptist Hospital for the repeated care and compassion they showed her over the last years of her life.

Linda’s life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished always.

A graveside service will be held at Parkway Memorial Cemetery, located at 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS, 39157, United States. The service is scheduled for October 14, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
