

Mrs. Lola M. Alford, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 7, 2014. She was born on May 6, 1917 to the Late Garland and Elmina Easterling of Raleigh, MS. She attended school at Polkville and White Oak, MS. And was an active member of Zion Baptist Church. After her marriage, she moved to Jackson where she lived until her death; she was a member of Faith One Church of Jackson. Mrs. Alford was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Ray Alford.
She is survived by her son, Jerry R. Alford, Sr. (Jeannie) of Ridgeland, MS; two grandsons, Skip Alford (Sue) of Panama City Beach, FL. and Judson S. Alford, Sr. (Sarah) of Jackson, MS.; great grandsons, Zeb (Bekka) and Sam Alford of Panama City Beach, FL., Zachary Alford (Heather) of Washington, D.C., Judson S. Alford, Jr. of Jackson, MS and one great-great granddaughter McKenzie Alford of Washington, D.C; sisters, Myrna Lee Gray (Charlie) of Raymond, MS and Evelyn MacAlister of Jackson, MS.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:30am at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Jackson.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hospice Ministries, 450 Town Center Blvd, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
