Margaret Jane Manning

Margaret Manning was born on December 1, 1934 to Benny and Mary Brewer in Cleveland, MS. She went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2016.She is preceded in death by her mother and father, and her husband of 49 years, Milbon (Mickey) Manning, and her brother, Bennie Brewer.She is survived by her daughter, Peggie Burgess (Donnie), grandaughter, Brandi Burgess, grandson, Justin Burgess (Becky), great grandchildren, Megan Heathcock, Dalton Burgess, and Alissa Burgess, all from Flora, and three sisters Evelyn Beach of Harrisonville, Missouri, Helen Burleson of Starkville, MS, and Shirley Sullivan of Phoenix, MS, and many nieces and nephews.She was employed by Southern Vital Records in Flora, MS for many years before she retired at the age of sixty-two. She was a dedicated and active member of Damascus Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities. She loved the Lord with all her heart and showed that love to everyone she met. She loved cooking for her family, and many memories were made at her table. She will be greatly missed.Funeral services will be 12:00pm Saturday August 13, 2016 at Damascus Baptist Church, 3964 Hwy 22, Flora, MS 39071 preceded by visitation at 10:00am. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery. -
