She attended Nichols High School in New Orleans, LA. Marlene worked and retired from Lockheed Martin as a supervisor in the Travel and Payroll Department.
After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at the Make-A-Wish Foundation, traveling, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. Her greatest joy was becoming a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wayne and Doyle Bourgeois. Marlene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Tynia and Scott Russell, and her grandchildren Crews and Ryan Russell.
Visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. A celebration of her life will follow at 2:00pm.
