Madison
Marlin L. Roberts, 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening with his family by his side. Marlin was born July 23rd, 1926 in Weatherford, Texas to Homer and Bess Roberts. He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1949 after which he began a long and successful career in the oil business throughout the US and Canada, including 19 years in Jackson. He retired to San Antonio, Texas in 1990 where he lived until returning to Jackson in 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Velta Roberts of Madison, his daughter Judy Roberts of Freiburg, Germany; Step-children Susan Haralson of Brandon, Daniel G. Russell of Madison, and David W. Russell of Madison; as well as eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the St. Catherine chapel located at 200 Dominican Drive in Madison, Mississippi on Thursday, March 7th at 2:30 pm. In
lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to Blair E. Batson
Children's Hospital.
