From the four Phillips sisters, we share the loss with you both, Mike & Cherry, and remember very fondly the gracious spirit of your mother and the kindnesses shown by both of your parents to all of us who worshiped and learned life lessons at Robinson Street Baptist Church. How I've wondered about you and your family through the years! What a bittersweet reunion for us through news of her passing. Please know that you and your extended families are loved, lifted up in prayer, and remembered joyfully.

My memories of Martha span over 40 years through social gatherings and various JLTA-USTA tennis teams as well as out-of-town trips with she and Louis in our younger years. Martha was an amazing, inspirational friend who will live in my heart forever!

Martha was the most loving person I have ever known. I had not known her but a few months when I lost my husband but she held me in her heart like I was her child. She help me heal and go on with life through tennis and love. I will be laid to rest next to my David just a few feet away from Lewis and Martha. That gives me eternal comfort.
