

A life-long resident of the Jackson area, Pink was the daughter of the late Williams Pinckney and Martha Jane Merrill Nance. Pink was a life-long member of St. Andrew’s Cathedral and a 1967 graduate of Provine High School, as well as a 1971 graduate of MSCW. While at MSCW, she was a member of the LJ Social Club. Pink retired from JCPenney’s after 40 years of service. She loved to travel and was active in New Directions, as well as being a member of the Welcome Neighbor Club and enjoyed playing games with friends.
Pink is survived by her husband of 28 years, Robert Allen Mize; sister, Constance Connerly Laire of Maple Valley, WA; brother, Allen Ripley Nance, Sr. (Martha Lou) of Nashville, TN; nephews, Allen Ripley Nance, Jr., William Robert Nance (Bonnie), Todd Laire (Laura); niece, Holly Laire Hutchens, and many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; father-in-law, Robert L. Mize; and sisters-in-law, Laura M. Richards (Don) of Germantown, TN, and Barbara M. Johnston (Tim) of Collierville, TN.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Jackson at 11:00 am, with a church visitation preceding at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Jackson, Miss.
