Martin Evans Bryant

Martin Evans Bryant, 31, died Wednesday December 29, 2010 at the University Medical Center. Visitation will be Saturday, January 1, 2011, from 12 noon until 2:00 PM followed by a service in the Chapel of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Burial will be in the Parkway Memorial Cemetery.

Martin was raised in Brandon and attended Brandon high School. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson. Martin had a passion for cooking which led to his career as a chef. He joined the staff at Julep restaurant in 2002 and served as chef and manager at the time of his death. He enjoyed hunting and loved the outdoors.

Martin, a loving husband and father, is survived by his wife, Wendy Edwards Bryant; son, Bailey Evans Bryant; his father, Eddie Bryant; his mother, Charlene Bryant, his twin brother, Michael Bryant and his wife Shauna; nieces and nephews, Aidan, Leo and Leah. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles H. and Marie P. Satterthwaite and M.J. and Doris Barnes Bryant.
