Mary Lou Barnes

Mary Lou (Rasberry) Barnes, 85, of Flora, MS. passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen, MS. Mary Lou was born on June 30, 1927 to Chester and Mary Elizabeth (Long) Gardner of Jackson, MS.

Mary Lou retired from Southern Vital Dataplex in 1987 after twenty five years of service. She was a member of the Flora United Methodist Church.

Mary Lou was married to the late Willie Ray Rasberry of Flora, MS. for 26 years and married to the late Samuel Barnes of Flora, MS. for 34 years. She is survived by four children; Patricia Ray (David) Waldrop of Aberdeen, Tommy (Glenda) Rasberry of Forkville, Ronnie (Sherry) Rasberry of Flora, Dennis (Cindy) Rasberry of Brandon, three stepchildren; Sam (Sheila) Barnes of Pickens, Sue (Barnes) Henry of Charlotte, NC and Amanda (Rick) Joles of Meridian, Sixteen Grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by stepdaughter, Cindy (David) Bagwell.

Visitation will be at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland on October 18, 2012, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Services will be at Damascus Baptist Church in Flora, MS on October 19, 2012 at 10:00am with visitation starting at 9:00am.
