Mary Anne Wall Sanford, 93, passed away Sunday, August 11 at St. Dominic hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be 9:30-10:00 Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Parkway Funeral Home on Highland Colony Pkwy followed by a funeral service at 10am in the Chapel. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
Anne was born in Shreveport, LA on July 10, 1931 to parents P.B. and Myrtle Wall. She was a devoted wife and mother of two and always had an open door for any and all of the other neighborhood kids. She enjoyed walks with friends filled with good conversations and a lot of laughter and on occasion came home with a “four legged friend” that also needed a good home.
Anne lived a good life and brought joy to those whose life she touched.
Anne is survived by her son Michael Sanford of Jackson; grandchildren Haley Raye Sanford and Michael Luke Sanford of Pittsburgh, PA; Danielle Marie Marsalis of San Antonio, TX; and great-grand child, Jackson Townes Sanford of Pittsburgh, PA.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Henry Lewis Sanford and her daughter, Rebecca Marsalis.
