Raised in Laurel, Mississippi by Ray and Emogene Blount Foil he graduated from Laurel High School Class of 1963 and attended Auburn University to study Architecture. After graduating in 1968 and marrying Linda Hall, moved to New York for the next 10 years, interning, receiving his license, and enjoying design/build career in the Adirondacks .Returning to Jackson in 1977 he and his classmate Skip Wyatt formed Foil Wyatt Architects & Planners where he spent his remaining years. It was a pleasure to be of service helping create some really wonderful built environments. In addition to architecture, passionate endeavors would be being a good husband, father and friend, not to mention great golf, good whiskey and a lot of travel. Predeceased in death by Linda Hall Foil, wife of 49 years, brother Lane Douglas Foil. Survived by daughter Hadleigh Foil Farmer of Birmingham, Al and niece Allison Foil of Ocala, Florida.
