Minnie Holland, 77, of Madison, died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 3, 2013 followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM all at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Minnie grew up in Shelby, MS and had been a long time resident of the Jackson area. She was a graduate of the University of Mississippi where she was a member of the Phi Mu Fraternity and she still enjoyed lunch with some of her Phi Mu sisters. She dedicated herself to teaching and she worked 27 years at Madison Ridgeland Academy. Being very involved with her church, Covenant Presbyterian, she also loved spending time with her family and friends.
Minnie is survived by her son, Dr. Mitch Holland and his wife Lisa of Brookhaven, MS; her daughter, Holly Clark and her husband Sam of Madison and her seven grandchildren; Tyler, Sarah Allison, Gray, Nathan, Emery, Timothy and Hannah.
The family would like memorial contributions to be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, MS Chapter, 2630 Southerland St., Jackson, MS 39216.
