Minnie Bennett Meadows, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 13, 2025 in Jacksonville, FL. Visitation is January 25 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm followed by services at 2:00 pm at Parkway Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland.
Mrs. Meadows was born in Hazlehurst, MS to James and Jessie Mae Gandy. She retired from the banking industry working in the new construction loan administration.
She was a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jackson, MS until she relocated to Madison. While living in Madison, she was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church. She was a faithful Sunday School teacher, Bible Study leader and choir member.
Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by husbands, V. Ray Bennett and Gene H. Meadows; brothers C.A. Gandy, Denver Gandy, Van Gandy, Luke Gandy, Wallace Gandy, Robert Gandy, John Gandy, Walter Gandy, and Marion Gandy; and sister Linnie Mae Shirley.
She is survived by her children Jennifer Bennett Williams(Keith Williams) of Jacksonville, FL and William Ray Bennett of Madison, MS; grandchildren Meghan Wilkinson (BJ), Drew Pickens (Jessica), Rory Pickens (Tane'), Courtney Bennett, Ryan Bennett and Cambrie Bennett; great grandchildren Lane Wilkinson, Eden Wilkinson, Ava Wilkinson, Kyla Pickens, and DJ Pickens; step grandchildren Joshua Williams, Amber McCalip, and Mia WIlliams; step great grandchildren Astrid, Lincoln, Hadley, Emilee and Trent.
