Mother of 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, passed away on September 19, 2018, in Madison, MS., from this life to the next knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. She was born in 1927 and raised near Vaiden, MS, in the Blackmonton community. She was married to Rowland B Smith of Winona, MS for over 30 years until he died in 1978. She served the Lord as a nurse at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson for over 50 years. She continued in her retirement to serve God’s family at Broadmoor Baptist Church, Madison, MS. She is survived by her two sons – Mike Smith, Winona, MS and Sidney Smith, Madison, MS.
Funeral arrangements begin with a Visitation time set for Sunday, September 23rd, from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM, at Broadmoor Baptist Church, Madison, MS; also, a second Visitation time is set for Monday, September 24th, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Broadmoor. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held following the service at 2:00 PM at the Vaiden, MS cemetery.
