Patricia Ann McElroy

Patricia Munroe (Patsy or Pat) McElroy, 61, a retired Credit Counselor for Mississippi Children’s Home Society, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Visitation is 6-7p.m. Thursday Oct.16, 2014 at Parkway Funeral Home in Madison and 10-11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at St. Richard’s Catholic Church. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., immediately after the visitation with the burial in Lakewood Memorial Park. Parkway Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

A native of Baltimore, MD., Pat was a graduate of Callaway High School. Pat was a devout member of St. Richard’s Catholic Church and previously of St. Therese where she was an active leader in Girl Scouts for 12 years. Her parents, Robert C. and Catherine Donnelly Munroe Sr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 8 years this past July 31, Charles W. McElroy of Ridgeland; brother, Robert C. "Bobby" Munroe Jr. and wife Nancy of Jackson; daughters, Catherine Griffin “Cathy” Marler and husband Eric of Richland, and Carrie Self Spratley of Richland; grandchildren, Catherine C. Griffin, Trevor “Gage” Self, Christian C. Griffin, Robert “Grayson” Self, Andrew P. Marler, Alora C. Marler.
