

She passed away at her home in Lafayette, LA where she had resided since 2000 and is a member of the Covenant Methodist Church, in Lafayette, LA.
Patsy was born December 13, 1936 in Laurel, MS. She is a graduate of Taylorsville High School, Taylorsville, MS and from Mississippi College, Clinton, MS. She was a resident of Jackson, MS, for 40 years before moving to Lafayette, LA in 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde Jones and Vera Glisson Jones both of Taylorsville, MS.
Survivors include her husband, James S. “Tim” Poole Jr.; three daughters, Deborah Ann Lokey and her husband, Mark, of Magnolia, TX; Barbara Lynn and her husband, Brad, of Lafayette, LA; and Karen Poole of Jackson, MS; and five grandchildren, Joshua Lokey, Tyler Lokey, Mallory Barnes, Ashton Barnes, and Brooke Barnes.
She taught in the Jackson Public Schools, Jackson private schools, and Rankin County Schools. After retiring from teaching, she began making and delivering wedding cakes throughout Mississippi. She loved decorating wedding cakes and, most of all, cherished her grandchildren. Whenever her grandchildren were performing or participating in an activity, she made it a priority to be there to support and encourage them.
She also loved opening her home to family and friends and enjoyed preparing and sharing meals with her guests. Bridge was her favorite hobby, and she was a member of several bridge groups, while also enjoying playing as a substitute in others.
