

Paul Robert Moore, Age 50, passed away on the evening of February 17, 2022. He is survived by his mother, Andrea Ellerbee Moore Travis (Adrian); his brother, John D. Moore (Penny); his niece, Julia O. Moore; his nephew, Luke A. Moore; his maternal aunts, Brenda Allen (Tommy), Linda Pasley (David), Bonnie Elliott (Terry); his paternal uncle, Doug Moore (Brenda). Many cousins, including Alicia Ross, Anna Dever, Joel Pasley, Tyron Elliott, Katie Terrell, Justin Allen, Lewis Moore, Kathy Molyneaux, and Darlene Green. He is also survived by many great friends. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Render Doyle Moore, maternal grandparents Robert and Margaret Ellerbee, and paternal grandparents, Lewis and Sallie Moore.
Paul was born in Thomaston, Georgia in 1971, and migrated to Ridgeland, Mississippi in the mid-1990s, eventually making his way to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He attended Mercer University and Belhaven College where he studied business administration. He was a lifelong entrepreneur, owning and operating a restaurant, Paul’s Place, in Thomaston, GA, and a bakery and airline catering service, Three Sisters and a Mixer, in Flowood, MS. He was also the general manager of Doe’s Eat Place in Biloxi, MS, and was licensed in securities and insurance for many years. As a young man, Paul considered following his father in the ministry.
Everyone loved Paul. He always had a smile and a laugh. He made others feel special and included. He was a friend to all. An avid Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Braves’ fan, Paul could converse at length about all things related to sports. He will be greatly missed, and his family is confident of his eternal home.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 1:30 to 3:00 at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi, with services immediately following at the funeral home’s chapel. The Rev. Andy Stoddard will preside at the service.
