Peggy was born in Kosciusko, MS on August 12, 1943 to Pauline and Paul Smallwood. She attended Forest High School, Hinds Junior College and graduated from Belhaven University with a B.A. in Music.
Peggy married Leland Rogers and had three children, Scott, Christopher and Mark. She taught music and directed the choirs at Murrah, Provine and Lanier High Schools. She was a National Class duplicate Bridge player and a Life Master many times over. She was a creative and artistic craft person and exhibited her Christmas ornaments at the Canton Flea Market for a dozen years. Peggy is survived by her husband Lee, her three children, three grandchildren, her sister Cindy Golson, her brother Tom Luby, her mother Pauline Luby and her aunt Grace Graham.
Funeral services will be held at Parkway Funeral Home; 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS, at 10AM, Friday, March 6th. Visitation will be Thursday, March 5th, at Parkway, at 5pm to 7pm and at 9am on Friday.
Memorial donations may be made in Peggy’s name to Christ United Methodist Church Choir Fund.
